Chicago | CMS, CRM, eBlast Once again, Alex LeMay of Taproot Productions has teamed up with GeekPAK. This time, Alex came to GeekPAK in need of poster designs, and a website for his new documentary titled Desert Bayou. Desert Bayou swarms with issues of poverty, race, religion and politics in a tale about 600 post–Katrina refugees who were, without their prior knowledge and only the slightest shred of consent, airlifted to an isolated military base in Utah. Working on a tight turn around time and low budget, the result was a comprehensive website far more sophisticated than any other documentary site out there. GeekPAK provided Taproot with the ability to blog, download images, view movie trailers and clips, update theater information, post current events, and send out weekly eblast updates with new show times, news articles and video clips to generate a buzz. Chocked full of quotes from hip–hop mogul Master P and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach from TLC's “Shalom in the Home”, the website has helped Desert Bayou with its huge success in theaters nation wide. Be sure to check out the site to see if Desert Bayou is playing in a theater near you. With a portion of ticket proceeds going towards aiding victims of Hurricane Katrina, GeekPAK couldn't be happier to help. Thank you Alex! Project Highlights: + Blogging and current events + Quicktime and Windows Media trailers and clips + Updateable theater information + Press Room with downloadable images and press notes + eblasting capabilities with online data capture for user subscriptions Modules used to create this site: Content Management, Contact & Business Development Tracking, Online Community Toolset, Online Schedule & Calendar, Mailing & eblast, Search Engine Marketing and Optimization | ||
